Meet Uurska, the Unstoppable Spirit of Warrior Dog

This month, we're shining the spotlight on one of Warrior Dog's most remarkable residents, Uurska.

This 9-year-old German Shepherd spent years bravely serving our country, completing multiple tours overseas, and taking part in countless missions.

Despite being faced with tremendous adversity throughout her service, Uurska's spirit remained unbreakable.

During her final deployment, she suffered severe injuries while protecting her handler from an explosive device.

While her military career ended that day, her journey as a four-legged hero was just beginning.

After receiving extensive medical treatment for her injuries, Uurska arrived at Warrior Dog's facilities, where she was immediately embraced by our dedicated staff and volunteers.

Though she faces mobility challenges, this courageous canine's determination inspires us daily.
